Ciao! And welcome to my part of the VT-world! I must say that I love weddings! Am still un-married myself (is that even a word?), but when my foreign friends gets married it gives me a good excuse to go travelling. Milan last December, and now Istanbul in May. Just love it! Have updated and made some new pages recently. Quite pleased with my Vaduz page, it was a fun one to do! Latest updates: Florence. Some new tips up from my Italy trip in December. More to come! Rome. Dublin. Spent two more days here, to add to the four I partied away last summer. Such a party... Göteborg. Some new tips and photos up from and about my city. Coimbra. Have updated some tips and added new photos from the Euro2004-trip. Paris. Three years after my trip there I've realised that I both had more photos and tips to show. :) Have set up a new travelogue, with My favourite photos. These are the photos, taken by me, that I like the most. Will probably change now and then, so have a look when you want. Saint George's. Second page up from my Caribbean trip. More to come! Grenada. The first page from my three week sailing-tour in the Caribbean. Florence. Had 36 fantastic hours here on my last Italy-trip in November. Parma. Had 24 great hours there, a new Italian favourite! Milan. Had two fantastic evenings here in November. A few new shopping-tips and things to do-tips. A while ago I read an article about people who said they were travelholic. Not sure if that is something that really exist, but if so - I think I'm one...? 2006, as the year before, was a great travel year for me! Lots of new experiences and lots of fun! February: Aalborg, Denmark May: Alanya, Turkey June: Cologne, Dortmund, Berlin, Gelsenkirchen during the fantastic World Cup. Fredrikstad, Norway July: Dublin, Ireland and Derry, Northern Ireland. September: Milan, Italy October: Milan, Florence, Parma, Italy And probably some more I've forgotten about... ;) 2007: January: Grenada, St Lucia, Barbados and about 14 other islands in the Caribbean. January: London March: Dublin March: Belfast April: Rome May: Frederikshavn May: Skagen September: Fredrikstad October: Vaduz October: Zürich December: Rome December: Florence December: Milan December: Genova And 2008: January: Puttgarden March: Milan March: Madrid March: Barcelona March: London May: Istanbul May: Ankara May: Amsterdam May: Skagen and Hjörring, Denmark |
| | And another page. My main interest in life is football, so therefore I've created another VT-footballpage just about that beautiful sport. This said and done, because I know that not all people on this world have the same interest as I do... So, if you want to read more about churches, boattrips, restaurants, discoteques and more like that; keep on reading at this site. If you want to know more about why Stadio Dell'Ara in Bologna has got that name, or which club that has the best or most violent supporters, where to buy tickets for Milan-games or other things like that - just follow the link above. Both pages will be updated as often as possible. Here will be a lot of texts and advices about sightseeing, partying, sports and where you can have a nice day. And also where you might have the opposite. |
Me I'm a swedish guy. I've lived in Milano, Italy, for almost two years, but since May 2004 I'm back in Sweden.
I work as a sport journalist, and strange enough I also spend most of my time and travels to do or see sport. I love football (soccer) and went to see 1-4 games every week in Italy.
When I'm not working, or going to football-games, I relax, stay with my friends, drink a beer (or maybe two...) or surf on Virtualtourist to find out where I should go on my next trip... | | | Me while living in Milan in 2003. |

| | World Cup 2006 and Euro 2004 Every summer is a time for a new football adventure. This summer being no exception. In 2006 me and my three friends were off to the World Cup in Germany, and had a blast.
Stayed for 13 days, saw six games in four different cities. Cologne being the best, followed by Berlin.
9th of June: Ecuador-Poland 10th of June: Sweden-Trinidad/Tobago 12th of June: USA-Czech Republic 13th of June: Brazil-Croatia 14th of June: Sweden-Paraguay 20th of June: Sweden-England
Now we're planning for the Euro2008. Followed Sweden all around in the qualification round, and visited cities as Belfast, Dublin, Copenhagen, Vaduz and Zürich.
In 2004 I was in Portugal and visited the Euro 2004. An incredibile adventure, with so many new and fun experiences! The portugese people really must be the friendliest in Europe! We didn't meet one unfriendly portugese person during 2 weeks!! So what they can't organize, I had fun anyway... :) Or as an english journalist wrote "Everything would probably been terrific, if the portugese hadn't tried to organize it..."
But please, all the portugese who might read this; don't get angry or offended, I had a fantastic time, and I advice all other readers to go to Portugal! In the summer 2005 we went instead to Germany for the Confederations Cup. A great build-up for 2006 summer's World Cup. Three games in five days, was very nice!

The last trips It has been some fantastic years since I moved back from Italy in May 2004, with lots of travels and new friends. June 2004: Portugal and the Euro 2004. About this adventures you can read here: Aveiro Coimbra Leiria Povoa De Varzim Porto Lisbon and Sao Joao da Madeira The Portugal-trip led to two trips to Helsinki , Finland, since I met a finnish girl during the football-tournament. Sadly enough there won't be more trips there now, but at least I had two great weeks in the finnish capital. Thanks to my work then, it has in september-october been two trips to "la bella Italia". In all two weeks, which concluded trips to Milan,Turin, Florence and Bologna. I'll try to update my Milan-page as soon as possible, and also put up new sites about the three other cities. Specially Florence is amazing! October also gave me the opportunity to go to Porec in Croatia. That page is my next project! :) In 2005 then there came even more good trips! In February I had a nice vacation-week in Gran Canaria, one of the Canary Islands. We stayed in San Agustin, a really nice and calm village. Nice weather most of the time, but not that much to do, except for catching some sun now and then... ;) Have some photos, and tips, so I'll try to put up a page about it! Then I had a short trip, spending 4 wonderful days in Stockholm with another VT-person, and then another 3-4 days in my own region. Was really nice to act like a tourist around my area! I just went home an re-packed, and then went on to Italy for a month, seeing a lot of different cities, including Milano, Torino, Florence, Rome, Napoli, Pompei and Genoa. Got back home, packed again, and just a few days later I went to Stockholm for almost two weeks. Work, work and work. And then, to weight up this, I went to Istanbul and saw both this fantastic city, and the Champions League-final. Incredible memories, that I'll try to write and share with you. And then, in June 2005, the "Fantastic Four" went to Germany and saw three games in the Confederations cup. Some photos from Cologne is up and running! Autumn 2005 saw me head off to Zagreb (Croatia), Milan and Florence (Italy) and Barcelona (Spain). Spent Christmas in Agadir (Marocco) which wasn't my best vacation ever, to say the least. Will never go to the north of Africa again, for sure... 2006 started with a week in Alanya (Turkey) with my by-then girlfriend. Very nice week, which was a nice ending to a nice relationship. Two weeks later the "Fantastic four" headed for Germany and the World Cup (see above) and then in July I was lucky enough to be sent to Dublin (Ireland) and Derry (Northern Ireland) by my newspaper. Last autumn gave me another opportunity to see my beloved Italy, when me and a girl friend spent five days in Milan, Parma and Florence. Started up 2007 with 19 fantastic days in the Caribbean. Pages to come up hopefully sooner than later. :) After that there have been five days in Dublin and Belfast, a week in Rome, and then a weekend in Copenhagen. Autumn 2007 has seen me taking trips to Zürich and Vaduz and a new trip to Fredrikstad (Norway). Had to cancel my booked Madrid-trip in November due to health problems, but thankfully it didn't stop me from a Italy-trip last December. | | | Barcelona harbour by night, 6 november 2005 |

| | Next trip Some days are just great! During one day in the middle of January I booked four trips for the rest of the winter. Once to London (Brazil-Sweden), once to Milan (Milan-Arsenal), once to Madrid (Real Madrid-Roma) and once to Barcelona (Espanyol-Mallorca and nice vacation). And then it's finally time for Euro 2008 in June, where Sweden will play in Innsbruck and Salzburg. Should be a great 13-days-trip!
Unfortunately no Thailand-trip this year. Either... Nor Rio de Janeiro. But maybe next year?
After the Euro2008 it's time for the qualification for the World Cup 2010. Sweden starts off away to Albania, so in September I'm off to Tirana. Should be very interesting! |
My favorite-places My favorite-country: Sweden My favorite-city: Milan, Italy and Gothenburg, Sweden My favorite-people: The amazingly friendly people of Thailand and my lovely girls from Turkey. Plus, and this is a new one, the people of Portugal! My favorite-sun vacation: Thailand My favorite-monuments: Eiffel Tower (Paris), Il Duomo (Milan), Il Duomo (Cologne), San Siro (football-stadium in Milan), the Rock Church in Helsinki. Best surprise 2005: Beautiful Napoli. Worst moment 2005: The second part of the Champions League-final. Best "new" city 2005: Istanbul. | | |
| | Cologne Not only 1 meter Kölsch in this city... :) The Köln Dom I saw as early as in 2000, but got more time to explore it this time. 509 steps up to the tower later I was half dead... But it was a nice view...
Best view, though, was in the night (see photo), when the church was lighten up. Great view from all around!
Definately one of my favourite cities! |
