Getting TO/AROUND: Take the Air France bus into town and avoid the mess with the trains if you are carry bags. The bus leaves you at the steps of the Arc of Triumphe at the end of the Champs Elysees. Fast and easy the bus leave to the airport every 20 minutes and come into the city every 30 minutes !!!!! Yet another airport built in the middle of nowhere, take a cab and you'll be paying thru the roof !!!!! As of May 2007 the fare was 13 Euro, 1-way and 20 roundtrip.....if you fly out on Air France- show the driver your ticket and the trip is free....Can't go wrong with this service.

Getting TO/AROUND: This time in Paris, I had to opt for a shuttle service since my girlfriend couldn't pack light !! (I'm still not happy about it) so I looked around and found this company named Parishuttle !! I asked around here on VT and several people said they had used it and it was secure and safe and reliable. So I went ahead and booked there service via the internet......the cost was 18 Euro per person each way.......when arriving in Paris, you call a toll free number, they direct you where to go in PERFECT ENGLISH !!!!! and we must have waited no more than 5 minutes before the shuttle showed up. On the way back from out hotel the same thing....we booked a 9:30 pick up and just as the clock turned 9:30 the van was pulling up to our hotel !!!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMED this service if you can't pack light and take the train or the Air France bus !!!! Update: May 2008 Price is now 23 Euro's per person one way !!!!

Getting TO/AROUND: One of the ways to get to the Chateau of Versailles is to take the RER from Paris. I would highly recommed you get a Versailles pass here at the train station. For 25 Euro you get a return ticket for the train, entrance to the main Chateau, entrance to the private apartments, entrance to the Royal Gardens and a dicounted fare for the tram ride for the gardens........the best part is that you skip all the lines to get in (since you already have your tickets). It was well worth the 25 euro's. Once you get to the chateau all you do is walk right in, no standing around, no wasting your time.....

Roadquill Tue Nov 29, 2005 08:05 UTC Funny tip about the "French Breakfast" at many of the hotels. When you can spend 5 euro for the same thing at one of the many coffee shops. | aussiedoug Thu Feb 24, 2005 23:44 UTC Votre tips sont fantastique. You'd better drop by Sydney page & check my $20 Aussie Brekkie Restaurant tip with the 2 die 4 views of the Harbour, Bridge & Opera House. As much as I love Paris it doesn't have those (not with a decent feed at the same time). | davequ Wed Feb 9, 2005 19:23 UTC Bonjour to a fellow member of the Tour d'Argent club.
