The Sand, The Sun & The Sea

Had a great long weekend away with a group of friends, went to a town away from the bustling of KL bright lights.. Kuantan.. Nice beaches and friendly "Kuantan-nites".. the best hospitality we have ever received :)) 8 of us cramped into my friend's house, and his mother fed us with plenty of yummy cakes and pastries. As that was the weekend of Mother's Day, I believe that was the best one she has ever had...

Gastronomical adventure in Taipei

Taipei was FUN & FOOD is so yummy. As I was in Taipei for training, I only had night time to explore. The only things available to do is shop shop shop at night markets & eat eat eat! We could shop till 1am and sleep for 5 hrs, attend full day seminar, for the 6 days. When the passion is burning, we could do anything.. hehe. Yeah.. this time the camera is working!

Returning To My Roots

After years of invitation by my grandparents, I finally followed my grandpa back to his hometown Fujian Sheng in China. I've heard many "horror" stories from relatives about China. My dad was born in LongYan of Fujian Sheng, left the country at the age of 9, and only returned to visit when he was 55. Want to know why he left China? Read all about it on my LongYan page.

The trip to LongYan & Xiamen made me understand of my grandparents better and also left me lots of good memories.

Colours of My Home - PENANG

Born on Province Wellesley, my family moved to Penang island when I was 7. Since then, I'm hooked on this wonderful island I call home.

A blend of the old and new, Penang is rich in history, colours and heritage in the midst of bustling city and industrial port. and not forgetting the YUMMY food!

About Me

My parents brought up us 4 siblings to be very thrifty, travelling was considered a luxury. I still remember my first trip to KL with my grandparents by train when I was 10, i was ecstatic because it was an overnight train with bunk beds and all.. :)

My first flight was in February 1997, to Sydney. That was the start of my passion for travelling.. but not flying! I enjoy exploring new places but not so much on the journey there.. whole body aching from hours of journey. Anybody volunteer to be my masseur? hehe

Since joining VT, I've acquired a new hobby - meeting VT friends . It's just amazing how fast we became good friends.
