Name of Shop: Green Plaza Mall
Whoever named this mall Green Plaza would have meant to capitalize on the mall's ambiance - stores and restaurants arranged around gardens in an outdoor setting. One of the great things to do here is to sit on the many cafés around the mall and see Alexandria's youth go malling and entertain themselves with the loads of entertainment options - bowling alleys, snooker hall, a funfair, and cinemas among others. These are in addition to mall staples of clotheshops and groceries. The place also has Hilton hotel, and a somewhat tacky Roman-inspired convention hall (for wedding receptions, too?).
The mall is located in Smouha, a suburb along the Agricultural Road to Cairo. Aside from taxi, you could take the minibus to the mall from Midan Saad Zaghloul in downtown Alexandria. It is also close to the airport in Smouha.
