King's Noodle: BBQ Duck! Oh my!
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: King's Noodle

King's Noodle is a typical chinese restaurant. It's not the fanciest place you'll ever go to, but if you want to eat great chinese food, then do the Noodle, the King noodle!

I always have some BBQ duke, and rice noodles with BBQ pork in them....oh man, they are both so good that even though it's currently 12:30am on a saturday night as I write this I debate with myself whether or not I should on down there now!

The restaurant itself is located in Chinatown at the corner of Dundas and Spadina (North west corner). Go there now!

    Favorite Dish: BBQ Duck
    Rice Noodle with BBQ pork
    Yun Chow Fried Rice
    Congee
    SOUP!

That's it, I'm grabbing my keys and heading down now!

The Purple Onion: Out of the way greasy spoon
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: The Purple Onion

The Purple Onion is one of those places you pass by everyday and say you should stop in and see what's up with that place ... but never do, and then some friend tells you how the place kicks ass and you feel foolish for never checking it out all this time. Wow, I think my english teacher in high school would call that a run on sentence! WOOT!

The Purple Onion is owned by some of the people who used to work at the Tulip (down in the Beaches near Coxwell and Queen) who left to start their own place. The location of the Purple Onion is...well, kind of off the beaten path, but us locals who live nearby *love* the place.

They offer great all day breakfasts, steaks, porkchops, souvlaki, you name it they usually have it.

The atmosphere is plain jane and you could easily think you are back home at your own local dinner for some good food.

If you are in the area and looking for some good food, then the Purple Onion is the place to go.

Favorite Dish: The all day breakfast! Of course!

Amato Pizza: Eat da meat jerk!
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: Amato Pizza

Amato's is a chain of pizza joints all over the city. They make better pizza then Pizza Pizza and have a lot more creative variations on the classic slice.

Sometimes kind of expensive compared to cheap slice joints, but if you want a decent slice, then dig the F in you jackass.

    Favorite Dish: God damn pizza!

    Fogey Dew: Get trashed!
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: Fogey Dew

This is an Irish Pub cookie cutter style. They have these all over the city named differently. The on thing they have in common is waitresses in short skirts....oh and beer and food. but really, they have waitresses in short skirts, which is far more important.

The food is decent and they have specials ever now and then and you can and drink and get smashed and vomit on yourself.

If you see someone there doing that, it is most likely me. Feel free to vomit onto me.

Favorite Dish: GOD DAMN BEEEEEEEEEEEEER! IN MY EAR!

This place rocks for quick greasy spoon foods. They have weird hours, but damn are they fast with the service.

All day breakfast and various other dinner classics.

Favorite Dish: Two eggs and bacon!

Alice Fazooli's: Food in a bucket made out of a bucket in a bucket.
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: Alice Fazooli's

General restaurant atmosphere open concept place like Jack Astors and such places. Menu is normal and not daring. Normal fare selection. Service is good. The place is located is a good place downtown so that afterwards you can go cruise the ladies at the bars nearby, with that garlic breath ;) Have fun chowder heads.

Favorite Dish: Pastas! Sure you can make the stuff for 1/5 the price at home, but hell, aren't all lazy?

    Applebee's: Swallow the soylent green.
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: Applebee's

Typical american grill place with the usual non adventurous "safe" for the bland foods. Boooooring. Not an "ambience" place.

Favorite Dish: Steak and shrimp were tasty.

    Armadillo: More regular american crap.
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: Armadillo

Another american grill place that serves the same *** from other american grill places. Fajitas, steaks, chicken, vomit, pasta, dead hookers, etc. Usual sterile ambience of crap. crapping in my pants.

Favorite Dish: Fajitas are indeed good. Only reason I go here.

Beerbistro: Great beer selection - they serve food? ;)
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: Beerbistro

I have to admit to never eating here, but only having drinks upon drinks upon drinks. This place a very stylish decor with 2 sections. The bar is where people tend to hang out and drink after work style. The restaurant part offers some great looking food. I say great looking since I've never had it, but the kitchen (I used to work in one eon's ago) looks like they turn out delicious stuff.

The place is packed after hours with the local financial district workers, so if you want to sit down, show up early.

Favorite Dish: The excellent beer selection...

Bier Markt: Half bar half nice restaurant but pricey...
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: Bier Markt

This place has a lot of beers on tap and in bottle. You will find the beer you tasted in while on vacation. The price for food is expensive, but you do get some rather tasty food. They have some really good muscle (moules).

The place can get crowded after work, mostly when the Leafs are in town and playing as the ACC is close by.

Favorite Dish: Moules et Frites and tones of beer.
