Nightlife Spot: CBGB's
CBGB's is the punk mecca of America. The Ramones, Blondie, and Lionel Ritchie have all played here. Ok, maybe not Lionel, but I think he will one day when he tours with Metallica! YEAH! The place knows it has a rep, so they tend to charge a pretty penny at the door to get in sometimes. The bar is a small sliver in the Bowery but when there's a good show on, the place is awesome. Oh, it's dirty as *** in there too. But who cares. The funniest thing I ever saw here was a bunch of preppy chicks who came into the place on a Pub crawl gone horribly wrong. They stayed about 10 minutes. It was hillarious. They all sorta freaked out and melted in a pool of makeup on the floor. Update: CBGB's appears to be closing its location and going (possibly?) somewhere else. See while you have the chance :\

Irving Plaza: Cool ass place to see a show.

Nightlife Spot: Irving Plaza
Irving Plaza is cool as *** to see a show. A rather smallish place makes for an intimate show. They have some ok beers at the bar too. I saw Fischerspooner and Front 242 there. Both shows rocked (Front 242 was much more excellent of course) and the sound for the spooner show was off but for Front 242 the sound system held up to the bass attack. The floor sometimes felt like it was going to give out, so stand where you think the toilet is and at least you'll get to the toilet ahead of everyone else at the end of the show. Located right near South Union Square so you can conveniently find some bars and *** around there after or before the show to do crazy stuff.

Nightlife Spot: McSorley's Ale House
Holy F. I've been here 3 times - walked in sober, left trashed. I even ate a Liverwurst sammich here! WTF! WHo does that when they are sober?! NO ONE! Beers are sold in either Lite or Dark and in sets of two pints - with a healthy head on them. Go here to get trashed. And punch people. And yeah, it's the oldest pub in the USA supposedly...looks and smells like it too :) DRINK BEER!

Nightlife Spot: Slainte
Drink beer the irish way - with spiders on your face and eels bitting your testicals. Slainte is just like most places, they sell beer and have big ass tv's everywhere. Go here to drink beer when you are thirsty and looking for beer loving.

Nightlife Spot: St-Marks Ale House
Jock hangout filled on Sundays when they show most if not all football games. Bad beers on tap and at least the chicken wings were eadible. Somewhat friendly staff. Go here if other places are full. I got really drunk here for cheap on Brooklyn Lager (great beer).

The Delancey charge me 6 bucks for a Brooklyn. F that. But a friend was playing da guitar in the basement so I had to go. The basement is where da music shows are. Upstairs is the lame DJ and lamers. A lot of hot ladies here though for some reason. Must be the Bon Jovi playing... Barf
