Singapore is a fantastic place to stay in, I have been staying here for a long time though my hometown is in Indonesia.
Though it is a city, this is one very beautiful METROPOLIS due to its excellent infrastructure, urban planning and development. Rising miraclously from a fishing village, it grew to become one of the most developed cities in Asia, if not the world.
When in Singapore remember to try out these 1o things:
1) Experience one of the world's best airports, Changi International.
2) From the airport, take a taxi downtown and you can experience one of the most beautiful expressways lined with rain trees. (best experienced i the day)
3) Must take a stroll down orchard Road on a weekend afternoon/evening
4) Have dinner at any hawker centres around any neighbourhoods, to experience some of the best local delights
5) Take a ride in the MRT (Singapore's subway) to view the whole of Singapore.
6) View the city skyline from the Esplanade.
7) Take a morning walk at the Botanical gardens
8) Walk around the old colonial district and the Singapore River area.
9) Visit the Zoo and the Bird Park (trust me, they are amongst one of the best in the world)
10) Shop around for luxury items and watches at Ngee Ann City and buy high end electronica goods at Funan the IT Mall, do remember to bargain!
