Hello to the world Operational email: tore_1972@yahoo.no Hi, everybody. I stumbled across VT when i did research for my upcoming trip to the Middleeast. I imediatly falled in love with the consept, so now i at last have got my ass moving and joined here. It took some time. I was intrigued by the possibilities this page offer- to get information. Someone here probably know something about every place one can think of. Then, of course, it is the possibility to make friends almost anywhere. I am sure one can find the worlds best friend here, probably the worst enemy too. Let me present myself to the world. I am a hardcore traveller in my heart, but only recently i have really started. From now on it will be ?all ahead Full? (sorry, i tend to express my self in marine terms) I am interrested in a lot of different things. Everything from shorter visits in a big city, to long treks far away from modern civlisations. I love to dive just as mutch as i love to walk in the mountains. Animalspotting is one of my passions, i have many project ideas around the world, everything from the Amazon, to the arctic. I love traditional cultures mutch more than modern times, but both is a part of the world. I am into history, everything from the stone age to world war two, one of the reasons why i started to dive, at first at least. There are some fine wrecksites in Norway. And i have a passion for food!!!! Eating me around a country, tasting as many local dishes as i can, is a part of my idea of travel. (In Indonesia that gave me some six kilos extra under my belt, but that is gone now). And i certainly don?t run away from a battle over the ?local drinking stuff?. One philosophy i live by is that i do what i have to, to get what i want, but not more. If i only need to walk one kilometer to visit an eagles nest, i dont walk any further. On the other hand, if i have to walk 40 kilometers in a 24 hour period to achieve something, i am prepared to do so. I have done both. I am both a soft and a hard man. On one hand i like fighterjets, veterancars and the old US battleships. They have been around since WW2. And i think it is kind of fun to serve in the army, as long as it is training only. My soft side love blooming meadows and annimals . What could be a more beautiful experience than helping a cute little lamb being borned, and keep it in your arms shortly after? I have a lot of travelpages to be made from earlier trips, during the rest of the year they will come one by one. There will also be lot of stuff on Norway later on, i think it is my duty to the Vt community. While i travel in the middle east (may 31-september 1), no serious upgrading will be done. Sadly i have some trouble with the imagepart, it will be fixed in september. |
