Amazing Beijing | walking in the summer palace |
I came to Beijing for the summer to study Traditional Chinese Medicine. With my little knowledge of the language I found the people to be very helpful and friendly despite my inability to communicate in their language. The temples and old cities are beyond words.......If you can you must see it! |
| | Traditional Chinese Medicine Having the opportunity to work in the hospitals has been incredible. Using both western and chinese herbs to keep the body balanced is the way they treat in China .An ancient form of medicine when mixed with western medicine is very effective for treating internal disorders.....dont let the picture scare you. It works!!!!! Cupping as it is called can treat pain, improve circulation, stop a cold, reduce edema in the body. And despite the picture it does not hurt! |
Studying TCM If you are interested studying TCM(traditional chinese medicine) there are many wonderful programs and opportunities to study the medicine. A friend of mine who I graduated from school with, who now lives in Beijing, offers educational programs to study in the hospitals with some of the best doctors in the area. He is fluent in the language and offers a reasonable flexible program for both TCM practioners as well as MD's. If you are interested contact me for more information. | | |
