Cor-J Seafood: Fresh Seafood - Very Fresh

A small white cottage with a gravel parking lot houses this Hamptons institution. You will have to wait for a parking spot ( and often just to get into the lot ) and the queue snakes outside the door, but the reward is the freshest fish around. What you buy was inside the fish ten minutes before, the single small room containing not only the sales area but the preparation areas as well.

Offerings include live lobsters, fresh fillets, shellfish, and shrimp. A call before coming and the shellfish will be opened for you and special orders similarly prepared. The service staff is, given the hectic atmosphere, remarkably cheerful and accomodating.

If one has the way to cook or grill the fish, this is the best you can get. No prepared meals.
