    • Rothenburg unsurprisingly has a plethora of Franconian and Bavarian restaurants serving typical cuisine for lunch and dinner. Pork steak with roasted potatos and buttered veggies seemed a bit much for a light lunch on a day of hiking the cobbled street and we opted for this convenient restaurant-pizzeria across from Kathe Wohlfahrt and the famed Eisenhut Hotel on Herrngasse. The delicately thin crust pizza was topped with first class tomato sauce and cheese with spicy pepperoni sausage - light, filling, better than we ever expected. Pizza seemed the choice of most diners who appeared largely local, unlike the beerhall restaurants. Service was Italian and just fine for the setting and perhaps because of competitiveness the prices were very reasonable.
