Restaurant Name: La Cocina de tita Moning
This is a very special restaurant where one can only dine with reservations. The restaurant is actually in an ancestral home in Malacanang- this is where the elite lived back then. The owner, Suzette, gives diners a chance to sample her late grandmother's cooking by serving up dishes from secret recipes that her grandmother used to entertain, dignitaries, ambassadors and manila's movers and shakers during the early 1900's. When you arrive you sit in the patio and enoy some cheese and wine. Then you are given a tour of the house which has been kept almost as it was back then. The you are led to the dining room, which was the site of many parties, and served a leisurely dinner on the finest china while surrounded by paintings of Philippine masters like Amorsolo and Hidalgo.
Favorite Dish: The lengua (toungue) in white wine- It really melts in the mouth! they also have the most delicious bread pudding I have ever tasted in my life. Other must trys are the paella, cocido, and kangkong salad with candied walnuts.

Restaurant Name: Antonio's
Antonio's is not quite in the city. It's about an hour and 30 min. drive. It is in Tagaytay city where the altitude is higher and the air is cooler. It is hard to find and they only have a cellphone to contact. Reservations are essential and sometimes it takes up to a month to get a weekend reservation. Many a proposal have been made in this romantic place where the ambience is heavenly and the food is excellent.
Favorite Dish: I love their grilled angus beef- always perfectly seared on the outside and tender on the inside. I also love their salad with foie gras. They have a good wine list as well and a killer chocolate souffle for dessert.

Restaurant Name: Greenbelt
Greenbet is not actually a reastaurant- it's a mall. It's pretty and full of trees. Most , if not all the restaurants have outdoor seating and people just spend hours people watching over a drink, a cup of coffee, or a sumptuous meal. The wealth of choices is amazing and since the location is in Makati, the city center, Greenbelt is a great place for those not sure what they want to eat. There's Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, and all sorts of International cuisine available.
Favorite Dish: My fave restos in Greenbelt are Pepato, Kai, Nuvo and Nanbantei.
