Svalbard

Spistbergen is the main island in a group of islands called Svalbard. Svalbard is a part of the Arctic. There are 3 main "towns"; Longyearbyen has app1900 inhabitants, Barentsburg has app. 300 and Ny-Ålesund has about 100 during summer and 19 during winter.

Best meal served ever! Restaurants (1)

VERY Expensive, but worth it! It has one of if not the largest winecellar in Europe. Delicious food. Whale-gaspacchio more travel advice

Whale-gaspacchio is a must ! How about polar-bear-goulasch or " rendeer à la mode du chef " ?? A great start for a Spitzbergen-page - I'll be back !
