I've been to London many times in the past years. This last trip was the first time I had been in London in October, when there are obviously less summer tourists and the weather is typically cooler than in the summer. I combined this trip with a trip to the Highlands of Scotland, so I only spend a few days in London on this occassion, but it still is a very special place to me and by far is my favorite "big" city to visit.

When in London, there is so much to do and see that it would take weeks to get a good feel of the city itself. Just ask the cab drivers about the test they have to pass to become a licenced cabbie. It's called "the Knowledge" and it sounds like a real mind bender. It seems that London residents drink two things: tea and beer. You won't see anyone slurpping on pop in London!
