Lake Ohau is absolutely stunning place!
May be this's the impression i got because of the rain and rainbow and the lack of people; There was nothing around miles away and i only met one person walking by the lake. The lodge itself is nice and clean place and moderately cheap.

i was told the area is usually very popular in the winter due to the nearby ski slope

The lodge itself is nice and clean place and moderately cheap. It has nice patio and jacuzzi and bar and pooltables on top of eerything that a regular lodge has (regular to me)

I wish i could've stayed for more than week and just hang out by the lake shore and hike in the mountains around.
