Rent a Motorbike

At the Eco-Lodge, hubby rented a motorcycle for a couple of hours, and we did some exploring around little Coter Lake.

While we were out for our early morning boat ride, Hubby did a little fishing on Coter Late. I'm not sure what this is (they all look like bass to me), but he was certainly proud of it. It was pretty big, but he let it go.

Boating on a Misty Morning

One day, we got up early, and picked up a wonderful breakfast, specially made and packed up for us by the cooks in the kitchen of the Lodge. We walked down the road to Coter Lake, where one of the ever accommodating staff brought in this boat for us to putter around in. We had so much fun, just goofing around, exploring the little lake, enjoying our breakfast, and waiting for the sun to burn off the mist. Afterwards, hubby did some fishing, one of his favourite pastimes.

Windsurfer's Paradise

Although Lake Arenal is world famous for windsurfing, not too many people know about little Coter Lake. It is directly adjacent to the Eco-Lodge property, only a short walk down a dusty road. It may be small, but still offers many opportunities to ride the wind.

Horseback Riding

Horseback riding is a wonderful, relaxing way to see the countryside. We were out for about 2 hours, and saw fabulous views, typical Costa Rican homes, and lots of cows! Its a great way to take in the beautiful landscape without having to stop your car every couple of minutes.
