I had always wanted to visit Egypt, and I thought I never would, until the earthquakes ripped through Turkey and Greece in October 1999. We had been planning a trip to those two countries, but after the quakes, decided to check Egypt out instead. What a great decision that was!!

Business was good that year, so I pulled out the stops and went on a two-week trip with Abercrombie and Kent. It was costly, but we were treated like kings and queens. The trip consisted of a few days in Cairo, a 7-day trip up the Nile on a yacht and stops in major cities along the way. It's true when they say you get wait you paid for, because I spent a nice five figures on this trip, but it was worth every penny.
