Wichita was incorporated in 1870 after the success of businessmen who came to hunt and trade with native populations. Due to its location it was popular with cattle drives headed north to the railroads leading east.
Wichita has a great number of things to see and do; there are 36 museums, more than 24 attractions, 20 live theatres, 35 art galleries and 32 golf courses. |
