If you have been around VT from some time, you will probably have seen or met Hansi and Loripori. If you are really lucky, you will spend some time with them in their home town of Windsor, Ontario Canada! During the summer of 2006, I was one of the lucky VTers who were invited to stay an entire week with Lori and Hansi in their lovely home along the shores of Lake St. Clair in Windsor. The places we saw and the things we did, were full of the simplicity of the daily life of Windsor.

Windsor is a beautiful city, clean, fresh, full of flowers and bike paths. The drive along the beautiful Lake St. Clair and the Detroit river, is adorned by the well-groomed lawns of old and new houses. It is a peaceful city but at the same time, very much alive. Everywhere I turned, I saw the citizens of Windsor out and about, enjoying their city and doing things that enhanced their level of existence. The young parents were riding their bikes, pulling their young children in covered carts behind. The old and young alike, were rollerblading along the wide paved paths along the downtown river banks. The retired were walking amid the beautiful flower gardens adjacent to well-kept highrise condominiums for senior citizens. The water lovers were sailing their small water craft until the sun sank into the Western horizon. Every night, the sun sets were more, and more spectacular. Life is good in Canada.

    Hi Janet, had to look in on Windsor, as this was my wife, Sue's border crossing from her early childhood in Sarnia. Canadian Club did gain in <"fame and fortune">, now owned by Fortune Brands, out of Illinois. Happy Holidays. Larry

    Nice to see your pages from Canada. We also reccomend the Canadian Rockies or for a closer trip Nova Scotia and the atlantic provinces! Safe travels from travelling Canadians!
