"Argentiere-Start of the Haute Route" Argentière by alfromcolorado

Argentiere is a quiet little village near Chamonix/Mont Blanc. It is nestled below the French Alps and is the home of the Grand Montets Ski Area. It is also the real start of the standard classic backcountry trip "The Haute Route". I have only been there for the Haute Route, but this is also a great place to do mountaineering (in the cirque at the head of the Argentiere Glacier), mountain biking, hang and para gliding, hiking, road biking... About anything that you can imagine for outdoor fun.
