Paris Las Vegas: Paris - A nice hotel in an Excellent location Compare Rates

  • This is one of the better hotels in Vegas. If you can stay here, do it.

The facilities are not in the caliber of Venetian, Bellagio, Four Seasons but they are excellent.

The room is very nice, the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms have a separate shower and tub and are done in pink marble. Nice touch.

The pillows on the bed SHOULD be a tad better considering that the beds are quite comfortable but, this didn't hinder out good nights sleep.

On this trip, we paid $115 a night which is slightly below average (we were in town with a show) although prices vary alot. We've stayed here before for $109 and for $149.

Also, I've seen it as high as $399 depending on what conventions are in town.

The best way to get a deal is to be flexible on your dates. Have 2-3 different time periods in mind and check the prices for those times. You may well see a large difference in price if one weekend their is a big show in town and another weekend their isn't.

Also, if you can, try to go over a Sun-Thurs. instead of a weekend. This will save big on the room costs 90% of the time.

Try Vegas.com for specials. They often have decent deals on hotels.

Unique Qualities: Besides the fact that the beds are comfy, Paris is a great place to stay because of its EXCELLENT location on the corner of Las Vegas Blvd. (a.k.a. "the strip") and Flamingo.

This is especially important for people flying into town who will be without a car.

From the Paris you can easily walk to the other main casinos on this corner such as Bally's, Bellagio, Ceasars Palace and Barbary Coast. And just a little ways down are Aladdin, to the south, and Flamingo and Harrah's to the north. Very easy walking distance although during the heat of the summer, you'll need to be wearing a hat and have very comfy clothes on.

Bellagio: Bellagio - The bed is so comfy! Compare Rates

  • This is a terrific hotel. The bed is very comfortable, the room is decorated very nicely, and nothing feels cheap like in some hotel rooms.

Is it worth $500 a night? NO.

We stayed here on a promotion of $139 for a Sunday night including a lakeview room. NOW THAT'S WORTH IT!

If you can get one their rooms for anywhere around $200 a night or less, I'd say go for it. Over $200 and it starts getting iffy. Yes, the room is VERY nice and bed is WONDERFUL but unless you make millions, I'd say book this room on one of the promotional rate days and stay somewhere less expensive for the higher Fri./Sat. night.

Unique Qualities: An elsafe is provided at no charge and you get robes to use while at the hotel. I like that touch for going down to the pool.

Be careful of the minibar! If you lift something out of the frig, it will automatically be added to your room bill even if you immediately put it back. Yes, it's all electronic. Very high tech. So, don't even LOOK at the stuff unless you want to pay $5 for a soda.

For more pics of the pool, see my travelogue.

The Venetian: Venetian - My Favorite room on the Strip
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]

  • This is hands down my favorite room on the strip. The rooms are huge, the bathroom is gorgeous and the beds are comfy.

My only complaint is the pillow. Not the best pillow ever (Bellagio pillows are best as are the Four Seasons) but they work. Just a little "foamy" and not very "givey" - if you know what I mean.

Still, I love this hotel and I love the decor.

Unique Qualities: In room safes for no extra charge and robes for going down to the pool.

Their pool area is OK but not the best one around. To see pics of the pool, see my travelogue.

The bathrooms have a vanity for us ladies which I think is a nice touch and separate toilet area. I like this because someone can be "doing their business" while another is brushing teeth, taking shower, etc.

Location-wise, it's not my favorite BUT, as soon as the monorail is up and running this will be less of an issue.

Still, if it isn't too hot out (or it's night) it's doable to walk down to the Paris/Bellagio corner (my fav spot) assuming you're not wearing 4" heels!
