Restaurant Name: Chez Marcel

This is a great place to wind down with a glass of wine or beer after a long day of sightseeing. The "table wine" was good (red) and very cheap.

We liked it so much, we ended up here 3 times during our week long stay in Prague.

Favorite Dish: The frites were excellent! But, don't try to go there late in the evening and have them. We did that one night (around 11pm) and were disappointed as they had already closed the kitchen and gave us old fries! Had we known, we wouldn't have ordered them.

Pear, walnut, and gorgonzola salad (yummy!)
Filet steak w/ various types of sauce

You can get away with being very cheap here if you like, we went all out and ordered many things (including some or the more expensive entrees) and it was still only around $30US for both of us including wine, beer, salad, entree, dessert, etc. Great value for good food.

Very close to Old Town square and easy to find. You can grab a snack or have a soda while checking in with VT and your Email.

Internet connection runs around $2 an hour.

There can be no better breakfast than a kielbasa from a Praha street vendor at 6am. And they even serve beer too!

It's cheap and the mustard is to die for. The buns are just so-so but who cares? The kielbasa is why you're there.

Restaurant Name: Restaurant Reykjavík

When you get tired of kielbasa and beer and feel like an upscale meal, try this Icelandic restaurant so some refreshing seafood dishes and darn good margherita's.

For Prague, it's an expensive restaurant but by Los Angeles or New York standards, it's a bargain.

On certain nights, they also have live music so it's a nice place to wind down after a full day of city going.

Restaurant Name: Rugantino's Pizzeria

Excellent place. The pizza is very good and if you can get a seat by the window, you can munch your lunch, enjoy a beer while watching watch Prague walk by.

Favorite Dish: The pizza is the thing to order. We tried one of thier other pasta dishes and it was OK but the pizza kicked butt!

BE SURE TO ORDER THE SPECIAL ITALIAN CHEESE. They have 2 types of cheese they use on the pizza; a regular one and a special imported from Italy one. Get the Italian one. We had the pizza both ways (went to the place twice while in Prague) and the Italian cheese was FAR superior! Don't miss it.
