Weender Strasse, Goettingen's main ped street

I quite honestly believe that Goettingen is the nicest place to live in Germany. About the only thing Goettingen lacks is a beach -- well I guess you can't have everything! Apart from not being situated close to an ocean, Goettingen is a wonderful charming university town in the middle of Germany. Everybody meets in the pedestrianised old town which is basically one big shopping mall and at nighttime turns into a equally lively party zone. I miss it a lot.

Nice tips on Göttingen, and fine photos! I often go through Göttingen on the train, but haven't stopped there for a long time. Must do so again!

Interesting to visit? Definitely. The nicest place to live in Germany? Hmmm.... I'm not fully convinced. Nevertheless, your presentation of Göttingen is great!

Nice page about Göttingen - I grew up near there, so it brought back many memories!!!
