Gourmet Hotel with a View and other Vianden, Luxembourg Hotel/Accommodation Reviews

The hotel sits high above the town on the N17 route to Diekirch. Its restaurants and some of its rooms offer a breathtaking view of the Chateau. My room was okay although it was facing the noisy road rather than the Chateau. Very good wheelchair accessible bathroom. Friendly and personal service.

Unique Qualities: Hotel Belvedere has won several awards for its gourmet restaurant and most people seem to come for this reason. Being such a gourmet place, the hotel attracts rather affluent people and its room rates are accordingly. Breakfast didn't quite live up to these standards, and in my overall assessment, it's not exactly a bargain place. Something very unique was that they reduced my room rate previously agreed on EUR 115 to EUR 92 on the bill. Very nice, but still kind of expensive.
