  • This is a specific warning for tourists from the Continent: Why do you think did the authorities deem it necessary to paint "Look Right/Look Left" on every traffic-light crossing... Take your pick:

    a) So that you may take notice of the beautiful British cars?
    b) So that people do not see the ugly derelict buildings straight across the street?

    or maybe

    c) because there has been a great number of accidents involving Continental pedestrians getting hit by cars because they did not look into the "right" direction?
