Restaurant Name: Ultimate Burger

Can you relate to this? Sometimes you just feel compelled to sink your teeth into one of these round soft sandwiches with the minced meat patty inbetween. This happened to me after my visit to the British Museum and before ending up at the Burger King again, I was happy to find this restaurant promising deluxe burgers from finest Scottish beef.

The burger really was very good, real meat, grilled, juicy inside. The side orders however could not cope at all. Chips much worse than at MacDonald's and a Cole Slaw portion you can only call ridiculous.

I was told Gourmet Burger Kitchen and Hamburger Union are restaurants with comparable menus but better fare. Go there next time

Restaurant Name: The Corner Deli

This is a great place to make a stop on your East End discovery walk -- and compelling proof that Hackney has long ceased to be a derelict slum. Look at the folks in that cafe -- they look like they are coming straight from their art college or journalist school.... the East Enders of today.

Favorite Dish: Had a pancake with loads of maple syrup, bananas and whipped cream.... mmmmmmmmmmmhhhhhh :) The cafe sells predominantly fair trade organic food. Support it and enjoy!
