Roatan - the scuba diver's well garded secret

Having heard of this Caribbean island just off Honduras at a New Years party I decided to do a little research on the internet. After locating a few sites and comments (all positive) I decided to book a flight for Apr. 4-11, 2004 to this piece of paradise. My main objective was to see it first hand and look for a place to rent for next winter. The prospect of this trip was the only thing that made the -10F temperature of the Quebec winter tolerable.

The Beach

Arriving at West bay in late afternoon I decided to do a little exploring by walking along the beach to West End for dinner. I was witness the a magnificent Caribbean sunset on a beautiful relatively undeveloped beach.

Ohhh the sand fleas are worth the trip to Roatan. After 6 trips I still can not get a twisted tee-shirt. They are always out... but the drinks are great.
