What else can Xian be but historical when its downtown is dominated by the ancient Drum Tower and Bell Tower, and it still has four huge gates and walls of an ancient city? Add to the list, the Qin Mausoleum, the Terracotta Warriors, Hanyangling Museum and the countless burial mounds of ancient royalty and nobility.

Xian has a wide spread of delicious food. Just visit the Muslim Quarters and you will understand. The minority group of Hui dominates this place.The Muslim food is good, a quality you won't find easily at the same price, in other parts of China. Besides the cooked food, there are lots of others like fruits and nuts. Although tired from travelling, we practically felt cheered up as soon as we saw the bright and cosy scene at the night market there.

Absolutely beautiful

One of the not-to-be-missed when at Xian is the Tang Dynasty Show. It is rather pricey but worth it.
