Tuscany invokes the spirit of the rolling hills, mellow sunlight streaking through the leaves of the foliage forming patterns on one's face…the cool wind brushing the skin as you stretch your hands out of the window. All you yearn for is the sound of a violin maestro masterpiece enveloping one’s senses. As the Tuscan landscape rushes past, one wishes time stood still...medieval towns spring up to disappear…the spire of the church guides us through towns where life mostly meanders, drifts and gently wakes up to a new dawn.

Vineyards, olive trees, dirt roads and a solitary medieval town renovated to a villa is where we spent our first night. A tiny, quaint church stood on the pathway, the stillness of the night I wish now was laced with music. Christelle Thomas (our darling and Joan of Arc) our friend from Paris laid the table for dinner...Rocha De La Macche Wine, fromage served with tomatoes, pasta and salad...under the Tuscan clear moon sky. One looked out into droplets of light in the horizon and the silhouette of the Castle at Castelloni di Chianti.

San Sano – a town off the beaten path. A water fountain pulls us for a wash…eyes drift to a family run ristoranto…sounds of laughter and crackle drew us or pure indulgence. Ravioli, Tiramisu, Chocolate cake, Risotto...creamy sauce glided over the tender ravioli...hot chocolate.

Tuscany is God's own creation and might have exhausted him and left the rest to his agents…the seas, mountains, air and then man to destroy.
