"The Konkan Coast" Ratnagiri by shobhanaj

Ratnagiri Travel Guide: 11 reviews and 101 photos

This part of India does not even feature in the Lonely Planet. Which is great in a way as it remains virginal. We have discovered some of the nicest people in the villages and towns, not to mention the food. This entire region is steeped in history with some of the most unique forts found - built in the sea. A few hundred years old, these forts are a marvel since they are fairly far away from the shore.
