THE CITY WHERE OUR HISTORY BEGAN

by Orkaena - last update: May 21, 2004

Just feel, here the universe beats

Parthenon, emblematic majesty
What can I say about this city?
Say no more.
In fact a lot of people more intelligent and clever than me gave us a better description than all the words that I knew in my whole life.
To love Athens you should be greek. And to be greek you should only feel like one, doesn't matter where you was born.
Just feel.
Feel the freedom, feel the spirit of thoughts, feel the music, feel theater, feel democracy, this strange concept about what every people talk around the world. And nobody knows.
Traces of stone

Traces of stone

Acropolis.
It's impossible don't feel a deep conmotion when you see the traces of those hands.
The hands of ages, remotes hands.
Nevertheless they still there, definitives as the columns carved on the white pentelic marble.
Dyonisos theatre

Voices

For someones this amphitheater is only a ruin underneath the burning sun.
But for me is a living creature.
The voices of ancient dramas resounds in the middle of the stage. So far and so close to me.

Oh man, now the telephone cards can have even pop singers on them! :) As for the flee market isnt so nice anymore because the mayor allow only the stores to sell things! Bad idea... the locals always liked it... :(
