Very Pleasant. I would recommend this hotel simply because it's location is great. It's situated about the middle of the strip and has lots of beautiful hotels around it. Not as pricey as some of the nearby hotels and yet you can still enjoy most of the things those hotels have to offer.
Unique Qualities: The pool is okay, but probably poor by Vegas standards. Most hotels have very lush tropical type pools. One perk is that the Paris Hotel is connected to Bally's so you can easily enjoy the shops and restaurants without evening leaving the building!

This was my first visit to Vegas and I walked until my feet couldn't take it any more. The only downside in my opinion is that the MGM is located at one of the far ends of the strip. However, in March 2004 they were extending the monorail system so it won't be long until your hot feet get a break from all the walking in Vegas! The rooms are very nice and the hotel is huge with an amazing pool!
Unique Qualities: Very cool pool and small amusement park. There is also an indoor Lion's Den for the trademark MGM lions. For a price you can have your picture taken with the lion cubs.

I loved this hotel! Several years ago when I was in Vegas it was run down but they have done some fixing up and this hotel was a lot of fun! The new outdoor Pirate show is very cool and for hotel guests there is premier seating. Hundreds of people fill the streets and sidewalks to see this free outdoor show.
Unique Qualities: Nice rooms, monorail to The Mirage (another great hotel!), free outdoor show, pool was just redone, good restaurants. Good location.

I also enjoyed Treasure Island (I guess its TI now) but they didn't have the new pirate show yet a year ago. Bally's is a great location. |
