Long flight back to home, make a short stop on this lovely Island. A nice mixed of palm trees, beautiful beaches and a friendly faces of the children.
From the town of Biak you can choose to spend your day birdwatching the five endemic species, take the local boat to the nearest island of Padaido or Yapen for diving and snorkling; or visit the awsome japanese cave from world war II with all of their rusty equipment.
If you like nature, this is the place to be. The Island is just a perfect postcard picture for photograph. No need for worries because in the town you can find a variety of shops, supermarkets, grocery stores, internet café and other essential services such as banks all close by.
In the end of the day when driving back to the city, just make sure to waive and say 'selamat' to all of the children along the way, and that just will make a perfect day
You'll find these perfect spot for birdwatching or just enjoy the peaceful view.
These kids can say "Bye-Bye Mister", "Hey Mister" not to mention the fave word "Candy Mister"
- Pros:Picture Perfect of an Island
- Cons:The illegal logging still continue in the rainforest
- In a nutshell:enjoy and please save this beautiful island

My Dad (John Martin) earned a bronze star with V on Biak Island on 27 May 1944. He is 92 and still going strong. He rides his stationary bicycle for 30 minutes every day.
Still enjoy your Biak VT Pages, great ;-) greetz RoyJava
