Now, this place definately makes you feel like you are living large!!! The lobby/casino area alone makes you feel like they should be rolling out the red carpet for you and taking pics! The pirate show outside is amazing, and even though it happens hourly, the spectators still crowd around to see the sight...one thing though, keep an eye on your stuff when you are watching, the pick pocketers happen to be experts in this particular area...won't see it coming!!!

This is a great place to stay if you have younger kids, or even those who are in their teens and want to find their own entertainment without leaving the hotel. I stayed here with my family (mom, dad and sister), and at the time my sister and I were too young to gamble and too old to be fascinated by clowns and dancing animals. So, Lo (my sis) and I headed upstairs where there was a whole amusement area, and proceeded to win a s%*tload of stuffed bears and toys and candy, thinking at the time we were the best game players Vegas had ever seen...turns out they do that so you stay entertained and your parents break the bank... Still, its a great place for parents and kids alike, and although it is near the end of the strip, it makes for a nice walk down the strip during the day with the famille....:)

Although there are many hotels in Vegas that compare and even outshine the Excaliber, this will always be one of my favorites. My family and I stayed here and it was the first time I had ever used a "credit card" instead of a key to open the door, so I was pretty faxcinated...there are two pools, and since it represents a castle, everything inside gives you the feeling that you are in the presence of Royalty. It is children friendly, as are most of the hotels in Vegas, however, if you are single or a couple you will still have a good time...on the complete opposite side of Circus Circus, FYI. If you want something even more fancy and elegant, or somewhere with a more adult vibe, the Bellagio or New York New York may be more to your liking....
Unique Qualities: The two pools are both great, you can get lost in the otel finding you way around (at least I did!!!), and it is within walking distance to the other great hotels...

To me, this is one of the most beautiful hotels on the strip. Not only is the outside breathtaking, there is a moving sidewalk that takes you into the enourmous lobby, where there awaits a huge casino, light show, and even a full mall with stores such as Victoria's Secret, The Limited, and Guess. As well, you can dine at Planet Hollywood which is located right in the Palace and features the best Turkey burger ever!!!
