Ko Tao

Ko Tao is situated in the Gulf of Siam... a little north of Ko Samui...
Its name means Turtle Island...
It is not so big and it is very very well known for diving... probably not because the underwater is the best but because the rates are cheap !
Last visit in june 05, the island was still loaded with "ugly" backpackers...lol...

...Hat Sairee...

The main beach of the island is Hat Sairee... that is where everything is happening and where you can find cheap accomodations...
The beach is nice although at low tide, it is quite difficult to swim over there...
Sairee is the ideal departure to the remote island of Ko Nangyuan...
