"Paphos - Hottest place in many ways !" Paphos by RPW

Went to Paphos with some friends recently, having never been to Cyprus before I was not so sure what to expect - would it be like Greece ?
Well it is quite similar in many aspects, obviously there is an affinity with Greek Cypriots so the sight of the Greek Flag is fairly common, it is also very warm, probably warmer than Greece but incredibly pleasant - our accomodation had superb air conditioning, I would have paid my holiday price for that alone, and it really is a neccessity. We stayed in between upper & lower Paphos which really was an excellent location - not too far from local shops and amenities and also close to the harbour and bar street area of town - all in all a great place to try.

From the castle

There is a little castle down at the corner of the marina/harbour area - it is a great place to take pictures from - but is incredibly hot !
You can also head down to this area for some refreshing drinks and do a bit of shopping, or hire a wee boat or even better get someone to take you on one the many cruises and trips that leave from the harbour.

• Pros:Fantastic place - sun, drink and lots of other stuff
• Cons:Nothing really
• In a nutshell:Great place for all age groups
