Recognised as the world's highest bungy jump off Bloukrans Bridge on the Garden Route. What an experience! I was not sure that I would do the jump and I really expected myself to bottle it at the last minute but I took that leap of faith and wow what an experience. The guys who set the rig up are fantastic and it was their whole demeanor that helped me to jump they are such cool dudes - thanks guys!

Would I recommend it - YES - if you are into the thrill seeking adrenalin rush this is definately for you. It isn't cheap and paying extra for the video adds up. I paid 580 rand for my jump and then added on the extra of the "Flying Fox" and the video so it wasn't cheap but it was worth it.

Would I do it again - YES - but there again I am mad!!

Equipment: Make sure that you have warm clothing or a least a sweatshirt with you. You can get quite chilly once you are out on the jump site as it is shaded and there is a cool wind blowing up the valley.

    Sports Travel: Bridge Swinging

You are standing on Gourits Bridge secured by the harness whilst someone counts 3-2-1 jump and you do - or at least I did. Leap, fall, jump or dive off the platform while being securely attached to the opposite bridge – the ultimate swing. Feel the rush of the air past your face as you swing over the riverbed below, underneath the bridge to the other side. This is great for those who don’t like to jump head first – here you don’t hang upside down but go off feet first ensuring that you are in an upright position at all times.

Cost 160 rand for a single person jumping, 220 rand if you want to jump as a pair. You can get a cd rom of your jump for an extra 90 rand.

Equipment: Make sure you have good suitable footwear on as there is a climb back to the top once you have jumped
