Update first..... Update: my daughter is 4 yrs old and very cute, as you can see. She has been in Rovinj, Pula, lake Garda, Euro Disney, Belgium, Venice, Menorca, Chioggia, Carinthian Lakes in Austria, Dinkelsbuhl, Koln, Lago di Maggiore, Gran Canaria, Barcelona and more has yet to come.
Latest info ! I have a daughter ......since 7 march 2005 ! Her name is Rozanne, she is born 4 weeks earlier then expected; with her and her mother, Lucia, everything goes well. And i am very happy with her and my adoration stays at a high level even when she cries for hours ! My dog, Harrie suffered the concurrence, but now he accepts Rozanne.
Married, 46 yrs old and one york and a baby to come begin of april 2005 . I live in Zeist, 10 km east of Utrecht. I like to travel a lot, especially to big European cities where is much to do. Too old for disco's and dancing (sometimes I have to do :-(( , my wife is 7 yrs younger) but not too old for concerts, soccergames, cinema, eating and drinking, shopping and strolling around. Train Stations and fast trains give me a kick. Favourites are big massive Stations like in Milan, Lille, Antwerp, Amsterdam, Paris Nord Most favourite cities are Rome, Barcelona, Madrid, Marseille, Lille, Paris, Munich, Turin and Dublin.
I dream mainly about two things: 1. Nightmaredreams of our York who is gone or has an accident. 2. about cities like Madrid where it is possible to have a 3 course lunch for 9 euro and a Bottle (!) of wine just 1 km out of the city center |

| | Why travelling Not to visit museums or archeologic things. What triggers me are: eating Bouillabaisse in Marseille, Paella Valenciana in Valencia. I still remember a Valancia restaurant "El Duero" where a 14 years old girl was crying and screaming when the waiter said at 21.30 hr. that there was no more Paella "No hay Paella wouwaaaahhhhhh". Sitting in The Alvalade soccer stadium in Lisbon and listening to the neighbours radio where is a goal of Benfica announced....Gooooooaaaaaaaaaaaal de Benfiiiicaaaaa....Goaaaaaal, Gooooaaaaaaaal poing poing poing..... ; the capo di stazione in Firenze who says "el treno par Roma partenze a binario quarto. The noise of the Paris metro; the latest Gazetta della Sporte, with the tram to the Delle Alpi Stadium in Turin, the train along the Duero river in Portugal or the incredible low prices of Douro wine in Spain. The chickens in a Turkisch bus...and so on. |
Our two Yorks We had two "dogs", Rambo a 15 yr. old York and Harrie, a 2,5 yr old York (on the picture he is much younger). They are the reason that the amount of trips abroad is minimized to 2 a year. But our dogs are worth it. They give us joy everyday. Sometimes when we wake up together we think they are one of us and they love us. But as soon as there is food or another dog we must admit that they are dogs :-((
Update: sadly we have to announce that Rambo passed away at the age of 15 yrs and 4 months in december 2004 ....
| | Zeist, where i live. Zeist is located in the middle of the Netherlands and has a rich inheritance of country estates, country manors, historical buildings and scenic beauty. Because Zeist is committed to preserving this cultural and historical character, and to retaining, as much as possible, this parkland and scenic beauty, its rich inheritance will remain important in the future.
Zeist is a medium-sized town (of the approximately 500 municipalities in the Netherlands, Zeist is the 53rd) with a modern infrastructure and direct connections with the large cities such as Utrecht, Amsterdam, The Hague and Rotterdam.
Because of its advantageous location in the middle of the Netherlands, Zeist is especially suitable for the business-oriented service sector. National and international oriented companies and organizations have established themselves in Zeist, including the KNVB (Dutch Royal Football Federation), WWF (the World Wildlife Fund), and the Dutch Society for the Protection of Birds (Vogelbescherming Nederland)
Zeist also has a well equipped modern shopping center with shops of diverse allure, a regional hospital, a large cinema and performing arts complex, a swimming complex, the Zeist Castle which retains its design from the 17th century architect Roman, and a large diversity of both accommodations and conference facilities.
In addition, Zeist offers many opportunities for recreation and tourism.
Further info about the municipality of Zeist/townhallbusiness: www.zeist.nl. I work at the townhall. Visitors/ members of VT can ask for a free guided tour through the townhall. |
Going out in Zeist Look for www.uitagendazeist.nl Just in Dutch, but u can get an impression and some adresses.
| With my wife in Zoo Amersfoort |
| | A little bit mad Thats me with my wife. My madness is harmless, but enough to attract woman, such as my girlfriend (wife now). Other examples of my madness are offtopic for VT. I build my one jokes... I ask people "what does a pigeon gets when he goes to the Library ?" Answer: "a Booocurucurucurook". Al lot of the same can be build; its advisable to do that after 24 hr when people have had some alcohol.... |
Menorca We have been in Menorca ! Rozanne, Lucia and myself. Its is a small island and we were in Cala N Bosch. Menorca is known because of its fine beaches which are safe for children. The north is more unspoild. Mahon is a little big city. Rozanne had her diner with us every evening in one of the harbourside restaurants between 18.00 and 20.00 hr. | | | Rozanne Scheffer & her father Rene Scheffer |
