So the signs on the harbour said!!!

If you want somewhere a little quirky, a little different and aren't too worried about beaches (any beaches), then Megisti (or Kastellorizo)could be for you!

3-4 hours from Rodos by ferry, 30 minutes by plane - not exactly inaccessible, but pretty remote!

The scenery is stark, but stunning with the Turkish coast in the near background.

I thoroughly enjoyed it - am going back (hopefully) in October 2005 - so updates will be available then!!

Pros and Cons

Pros:Isolated but with a buzzing waterfront
Cons:No beaches at all, could become claustrophobic
In a nutshell:A rarity!

Another one we haven't been to!!! Sounds very Greek, bliss. Those urchins are a real nuisance. I always wear shoes on rocky and stony beaches.
