I found Arequipa very special city. Not only cose El Misti rising upon it but because of all the secrets that this place has offered. There is many things to see and do, to check and try. And Arequipa is not only a city with rich cultural background but has a mistic meaning.

Arequipa is a lively city with a lot of different restaurants for all the tastes and budgets. It has a dangerous districh wich you should avoid off but in general it is very safe city. A big market is in the center and lot of souveniers can be bought here. Anyhow a place to must stop for a few nights and a good starting point to go on a trek to Colca de Canyon. That is what I have experienced.

Kids are always a great fun and people are quite nice in Peru. In Arequipa people like birds a lot and it is common to fead them ...

The city center has a variety of shops and banks and pharmaceutic shops are very very common. Actually I was surprise in the whole Peru how many banks and pharmaceutic shops are working ... you can see 3 in a 50 meter block ... So dont be afraid you can always get anything you need. Personal health here is certainly not a problem :)
