Skive - mostly a new city

Skive is an old village, but from about 1900 it have developed quicly into a larger city - mainly because of the railway line between Aarhus - the second largest city of Denmark - and the western part of Jutland.
In 1900 the city have less than 1000 inhabitans - today there are close to 30.000.
You have two old churches nearby a little river - and you can see both when you arrive from the south. But most of the city is not old.
You have very fine surroundings of Skive - nearby the Liim Fiord. A fine place for nature-lovers.

Pros and Cons

Pros:The nature and the Liim Fiord, nice people (mostly)
Cons:trafic, parts of the city is too new and not very beutifull

I passed through Skive once on the way to Mors. ButI think its a lovely city by Limfjord. I hope to go there again soon to make a vt page! /Reza
