When we arrived at the capital of Italy we found that the traffic was very chaotic. Later we realized that the traffic in Rome is in many ways more civilized than the traffic in Denmark. Like Lisbeth Davidsen said: ?If you cross the road when there is red light in Denmark the taxi drivers feel that they have the right and obligation to run over the pedestrian, but in Italy the case is a bit different. You just jump boldly into the traffic and hope for the best.? In Italy the car drivers respect a pedestrian crossing even if there isn?t a green traffic light. If you cross the road in Denmark when there?s a red light in front of a police car you can be almost certain that the policemen will pull you over and you will probably get a warning. In Italy we stepped out in front of a police car on a big road when the red light was on and the policeman just smiled at us. Here's a pic of an accident I saw the first evening in Rome
