This island is home to some of the nicest friends I can have this side of Malaysia. Cheers to you people!

Batu Ferringhi - nice beaches - easy to get sun-tan very fast if you allow yourself to be baked long enough!

Gurney Drive - this stretch of road is very well-known for local Penang food - it is great eating spot with most of the local delicacies..but it would be most advisable for tourists to venture out to the sidelanes..to the shophouses..to the hawker centres where food can be cheaper there as Gurney Drive is like an all-in-one for visitors. Hence the hawkers of Gurney Drive do charge slightly higher prices but what is money when compared to convenience of time and space in the interest of travelling with only a few days to spare!

The Penang Town Hall

Yeah, it is great to see the boardings and the scaffoldings - it shows that Penang is finally moving in the right direction to seriously conserve and preserve its rich heritage. Way to go!

• Pros:Nice friendly people - especially the VTers of this island!
• Cons:Weather can be boiling hot in certain months!
• In a nutshell:Penang is wonderful when you look beneath its exterior!
