The beautiful harbor, Victorian mansions, cathedrals, ancient forts, and many resort hotels are all a part of Nassau, which is the national capital of the Bahamas. I found that people go to the Bahamas to either relax or if they like they can keep very busy with the abundant amount of activities available. There is also a great market where you can purchase local crafts and goods, as well as a downtown shopping area. Nassau is also a center for the many cruise ships which dock at harbor. |
From Nassau, you can take a trip to Paradise Island. As a piece of trivia, Paradise Island was once referred to as “Hog” Island, primarily because the island itself was not developed. Once hotels and resorts began to pop up, Paradise Island became noted for its beaches, golf courses, and of course luxurious hotels. |
