In this city, everyone has a chance to make it their own. I spent about 2 weeks there, staying in different hostels and moving around the whole city - but i could have settled in for a month or even a year. That's one of the most memorable things for me, how many people I met that said "oh i was just passing through" or "we just came for the weekend" and have been there for years since. Some have worked odd jobs, in factories, started up a Czech-English culture/nightlife magazine, or opened a bar. There's no limit to what you can do there, or the poeple you meet, so my advice is: stay as long as possible and keep yourself open to every possible experience.

And for godsake bring a camera and all the film and batteries you can carry! You'll need it. And bring a comfortable daybag - i wanted to throw my in the Charles after two days of my camera poking me in the ribs.
