"A modern old city" Beijing by sifrim

I only spent a night and half day in Beijing (of which half in a meeting, unfortunately) , but the hours that I strolled the streets and the Forbidden City were very, very pleasant.
I was very impressed of its cleanliness.
In the morning, after the breakfast I went out for a short walk around the hotel. Without a map, without the camera. Then I saw a metro station and was curious to see how it looks like inside. Then I was surprized to see that the station names are written in english! And in 15 minutes I was in Tiananmen Square, enjoying the morning sun! It was incredible easy :).
Later in the day I had the chance to visit the Forbidden City, this time with two very kind coleagues and with the camera, another unforgetable experience.
