We were first time in Lapland in 2002, first holiday after 2 tough years. And it was like a blessing. So beautiful, so silent, the midnight sun (I swear I saw it!), the reindeers, the lakes, the pure air and last but not least, the people, all this convinced us to come again next year. |
|  | The cottage We chosed to rent a cottage, there were plenty, since June is off peak season.
With the forest starting just behind it, it was perfect.
I have lot of found memories related to it: the evening light bathing it, the reindeers that wellcomed us when we arrived, the friendly birds, the acrobat squirrel, the midnight sun, the silence, everything! |
| | Yllas Yllas it's better known as a ski resort, due its position in the hill region of Lapland. But the infrastructure it suits very well for summer holidays, when it's not so crowded.
There are 2 villages: Yllas and Akaslompolo, each one with hotels, restaurants and cottages. |
