Harra (mangrove) forest, covering over 5600 hectar Harra (Mangrove) jungle plantation is a characteristic of Ecosystem of south coast of Iran. These jungles are located in Persian Gulf shoreline, around Loft Port, north of Qeshm Island, Khamir ports and concentrated centers. These swampy jungles are influenced by flux and reflux of water. Along the flux, trees and slimy ground comes out of the water and seem like scattered islands. Suitable ecologic conditions have turned these jungles into habitats of migrant birds in cold seasons. Green turtles, water snakes and poisoned snakes are the special inhabitants of ecosystem of Harra jungles in Iran. Big Indian heron, green and gray heron, flamingo, pelican, sea-gull and different species of eagle and many other types of birds live in these areas. |  | |
