"Andros- a piece of paradise" Andros Town by lonnieg

Andros Town Travel Guide: 3 reviews and 6 photos

A ten minute flight from Nassau, and an arrival at an airport that is little more than a landing strip is a perfect introduction to Andros.
The big pull of the island is the fact that it balances its proximity to the garishness and commercialism of Nassau, with an idyllic remoteness that has to be experienced

I only spent 5 days there, but it was five days of scuba diving, reading in a hammock between two palm trees, and good food and banter with the fellow guests at the lodge.
Andros is the sort of place that is a wrench to leave, because after 5 days of no email and no mobile phone ringing, you start to get used to it.
Better to have loved and lost though, and i certainly loved my visit.
