Vuno, probably is the most beautiful spot of Albanian Ionian coast, or Albanian Riviera. The village is cutted across by the national road Vlora-Saranda and is situated on a mountain-side. The houses made of stone look over a wonderful olives plantation and after the olive trees, some 200 metres below lies the Ionian sea. Breathtaking panorama, you'll never be tired looking at it every day you're there. This is the place where I spend my summer holidays since 1999. Beach, mountain, river, beautiful nature and warm people, this is my favourite place in Albania. |
| | Albanian Riviera Leaving the village and walking down to the sea, gorgeous sights continue. Deep blue water in sharp contrast with the summer colors of vegetation. And unforgettable mediterranean scents. One can't help making a 'japanese' use of the camera :) |
| | ...and finally the Beach The water here is really crystal. White beaches, many of them small and deserted. The main beach is that of Jal, in my opinion the best of Albanian Ionian coast. But there are a lot of other hidden beauties to be discovered, just keep walking and explore. |
